‘Jack Grealish could replace Martin Odegaard at Arsenal amid Man City uncertainty’

Jack Grealish looks set to leave Manchester City this summer, while Martin Odegaard has faced questions over his Arsenal performances.

The Man City man has faced a lack of game time this season and watched on as an unused substitute when Pep Guardiola’s men were beaten by Crystal Palace in last month’s FA Cup final.

Meanwhile, Odegaard remained a regular feature in Mikel Arteta’s side this season, but scored just three goals in 30 Premier League appearances.

Arsenal could sign Viktor Gyokeres, showing that the North Londoners are keen to bolster their attacking ranks this summer.

Arsenal told to sign Grealish as Man City exit looms

Grealish has attracted interest from Napoli, while his time at the Etihad Stadium is seemingly coming to an end.

Meanwhile, Andy Goldstein asked Darren Bent live on talkSPORT [5 June]: “Would you have him at Arsenal?”

The former Aston Villa striker replied: “Yes, I would. 100 per cent.”

Goldstein then asked: “Where would you play him?”

Bent continued: “10. Odegaard’s obviously first choice, but he was poor. If you’ve got someone like Jack there, away you go, ready to play.”

Arsenal want to sign Feyenoord attacker

The Gunners may be unlikely to sign Grealish this summer, but they must add more attacking quality to their ranks in the transfer window as they look to bridge the gap to Premier League champions Liverpool.

Arsenal reportedly want to sign Igor Paixao, who has notched 18 goals and 14 assists across all competitions for Feyenoord this season, helping them finish third in the Eredivisie.

If the 24-year-old can step up to the challenge of the Premier League, he could prove to be a difference maker for Arteta’s men, while the North Londoners are still vying to win silverware for the first time since their FA Cup triumph in 2020.

Arsenal are also keen on Benjamin Sesko, who has scored 21 goals in 45 appearances for Leipzig this season, including 13 efforts in 33 Bundesliga outings.

If the Gunners are unable to sign Gyokeres, the 22-year-old could prove to be a solid alternative to the former Coventry City man.
