Jack Grealish posts Twitter message after Aston Villa win, hails danger player

By Amir Mir

Jack Grealish hailed the dangerous Jonathan Kodjia after Aston Villa defeated QPR 1-0 at Loftus Road on Sunday afternoon.

Striker Kodjia, who missed a first-half penalty, found the back of the net 15 minutes from time to help Steve Bruce’s side secure a valuable three points in their promotion challenge.

Villa had dominated proceedings in London, having 18 shots at their opponents goal compared to the hosts nine.

Ivory Coast international Kodjia, who led many of those attacks, has scored eight goals for the Midlands club following his big money move from Bristol City in the summer.

Midfielder Grealish was dropped for this encounter after he started the defeat to Norwich at Carrow Road in midweek.

Despite failing to make it onto the pitch for this game, Grealish posted this message on his personal Twitter account.

Academy product Grealish has played 16 league games this term, scoring three goals and supplying four assists.

He scored a magnificent long range effort during his sides last home fixture when his curling shot two minutes from time helped secure all three points.

The win in London means Bruce’s side are in 13th place in the Championship table on 31 points from 22 games going into a critical and busy festive period.

They host newly-promoted Burton Albion on Boxing Day in what is expected to be a full house at Villa Park, before taking on fellow promotion chasers Leeds three days later.

In other Aston Villa news, club legend Paul McGrath expresses his passion at his former club following their win at QPR.
