Jack Grealish reacts to Cody Gakpo message amid exit rumours
Jack Grealish has been keeping a close eye on Manchester City’s rivals amid rumours he will leave the club this summer.
Grealish joined City from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 and has since registered 17 goals and 23 assists in 157 appearances across all competitions.
The 39-time England international has helped Pep Guardiola’s men to three Premier League titles and a Champions League among other major honours during that time.
But Grealish has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, and last season, he clocked up just 715 minutes in the Premier League, with only seven of his 20 appearances in the competition coming from the start.

Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are among those reportedly interested in signing Grealish this summer.
For now, the 29-year-old remains a City player and recently posted photos of himself on Instagram undergoing a rigorous individual training regime to stay fit — either for a potential suitor or Guardiola.
And Grealish has now dropped a like to a post from Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, who posted a selfie alongside teammates Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsimikas in Hong Kong following a 4-2 friendly defeat there against AC Milan.
“Thank you Hong Kong for the love, what a city,” Gakpo wrote along with a Hong Kong flag emoji, adding: “Psalm 118:24. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Gakpo’s post was liked by Liverpool teammates Curtis Jones, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, as well as Anthony Gordon — who has been linked with the Reds this summer.

Spurs could step up Grealish bid after Gibbs-White disaster
Football Insider verdict
Tottenham Hotspur are another club who have been linked with a move for Grealish this summer, and given their status as Europa League holders, they probably make the most compelling case to the player.
The future of Son Heung-min remains in the balance, while the Lilywhites have already signed Mohammed Kudus this summer.
However, Spurs may need to reignite their interest in Grealish after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White.
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Aston Villa | 213 | 32 | 43 |
Man City | 157 | 17 | 23 |
Notts County | 39 | 5 | 7 |
England | 39 | 4 | 8 |
Tottenham looked set to conclude a swoop for the England international but proceedings quickly took a turn, with Forest even taking legal action against Spurs’ approach for the player.
And now, matters have come to a close with Gibbs-White signing a new contract at the City Ground, where he’ll play Europa League football next season.
While Grealish isn’t a No.10 like Gibbs-White, he does possess the technical ability and vision to unlock defences in a similar manner and could prove an excellent back-up choice for Tottenham.
