Jack Grealish was among Man City teammates to react to Erling Haaland’s positive message the supporters in a training update.
Man City are gearing up for their clash with Southampton on 10 May, following a vital win over Wolves that boosted their push for a Champions League place last week.
Haaland recently returned to training and was named on the bench against Wolves but didn’t feature as he continues to build fitness after an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined since March. The striker has missed several key fixtures during that spell.
Despite his absence, City’s form has remained strong, with five consecutive wins helping them rediscover momentum at a crucial stage in the season.
Now, Haaland has delivered another encouraging update as he edges closer to a return to action for the club in an important run-in.

Erling Haaland remains positive amid Man City training return
The striker shared a few snapshots from training on Instagram, adding the caption: “Tuesday mood” with a smiling emoji.
His post drew plenty of reactions, with Grealish, Ruben Dias and Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai among those showing their appreciation with likes.
Now back in full training with the squad, there’s growing optimism that Haaland will return to the starting XI sooner rather than later. Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden have been deployed in a false-nine role, highlighting the gap left by Haaland’s absence.
Despite his injury struggles, the Norwegian has still delivered consistently this season, scoring 30 goals and providing four assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
Haaland’s Man City future has come under question once again, with reports suggesting Real Madrid could move for him if Vinicius Jr fails to agree a new deal.
However, the forward recently committed his future to the club by signing a long-term contract earlier in the season and appears determined to lead a new era at the Etihad.

Man City step up pursuit of Florian Wirtz amid Bayern Munich competition

Football Insider has revealed that Man City are willing to go all out to land Florian Wirtz, despite Bayern Munich currently leading the race for the Bayer Leverkusen star.
Bayern remain the favourites to sign the German, but City see Wirtz as a marquee addition to help reshape their midfield, especially with several high-profile exits expected in the summer.
