Jack Grealish reacts to Man City teammate’s Erling Haaland’s ‘peace’ message
Erling Haaland’s latest social media message has caught the eye of Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish, who is currently being linked with a move away.
City beat Fulham 2-0 on the final day of the season, with Haaland ending his three-game run without a goal by converting a second-half penalty.
The result means that Pep Guardiola’s side secured 3rd place, in what has been a disappointing defence of their Premier League title.
However, there was no place in the squad for Grealish, who feels he has been frozen out at Man City, after starting just one of the last ten games.

Grealish set to move on
With the season finished, Haaland took to social media to give fans a look into his life away from the pitch.
The Norwegian striker posted on Instagram, showing himself sitting in a suit enjoying a glass of champagne on a balcony, with the caption being a peace emoji.
Grealish, who has been linked with Napoli, liked the post to show his support.
The City winger has started just seven Premier League games this season, and wants to move away from the Etihad to revitalise his career.

Grealish can replicate McTominay at Napoli
Grealish’s £100m move from Aston Villa to Man City has never really worked out, despite all the hype that surrounded the deal at the time.
The 29-year-old seemed as if he was finding his feet during his second season at the Etihad, but his form has fallen away since that 2022/23 campaign.
Year | Games | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 20 | 1 | 1 |
2023/24 | 20 | 3 | 1 |
2022/23 | 28 | 5 | 7 |
2021/22 | 26 | 3 | 3 |
Since Thomas Tuchel took over as England manager, Grealish hasn’t been called up to either of the German’s two international squads, so he will need a positive career change to force his way back into the fold.
Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has become a Napoli hero, after helping them to a second Serie A title in three years.
Grealish will hope that he can follow in the footsteps of the Scotland international, who was often criticised at Old Trafford, and rediscover some form in Naples.
