Jack Grealish responds to Rayan Cherki’s update to Man City fans
Man City outcast Jack Grealish was among the players to react after Rayan Cherki shared his latest update with fans.
Man City players have been on an extended break for the last few weeks following their participation in the Club World Cup.
Despite high expectations heading into the tournament, Pep Guardiola’s side failed to make a deep run as Man City were knocked out by Al-Hilal in the round of 16.
The club strengthened heavily ahead of the competition, as Man City brought in Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders to boost their options.
Now, the squad are back in training, and the Frenchman gave fans a glimpse into his mindset as he looks to kick-start his debut season.

Man City players react to Rayan Cherki update as squad returns to training
Cherki gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes as he shared an update from City’s first training session back, ahead of the new season.
The midfielder posted on Instagram with the caption: “We keep working” followed by a muscle emoji, alongside photos from the session. His post drew reactions from Grealish, Phil Foden, and fellow Frenchman Lucas Digne who all liked the post.
Cherki has already generated excitement among City fans following his promising performances at the Club World Cup. The 21-year-old has been brought in to help fill the void left by Kevin De Bruyne, who departed on a free transfer earlier this summer.
Football Insider revealed Man City had identified Florian Wirtz as a long-term De Bruyne replacement but the German international ultimately joined Liverpool in a record-breaking deal for the Reds—leaving Guardiola to explore alternative options.
Despite missing out on Wirtz, Cherki’s numbers speak for themselves. He registered an impressive 12 goals and 20 assists for Lyon last season, including a standout display against Manchester United in the Europa League.
Tottenham consider move for Jack Grealish amid Man City uncertainty

While Grealish was among those to show support for Cherki’s return to training, the England international may not be a teammate for long.
Grealish was omitted from City’s Club World Cup squad last month, with reports suggesting a breakdown in his relationship with Guardiola.
Now, Football Insider revealed Tottenham are now exploring a move for Grealish, especially after failing in their pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White.
With the former Aston Villa captain seemingly no longer part of Guardiola’s long-term plans, a move away from City looks increasingly inevitable.
