Jack Grealish sends five-word message as England respond to humiliation
Jack Grealish provided a clear message to England fans as the Three Lions responded to the humiliation of losing against Greece by defeating Finland 3-1 on Sunday.
“Perfect way to bounce back,” is what the 29-year-old wrote as he celebrated scoring the opening goal of the Nations League game as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Declan Rice also got on the scoresheet.
The result left Lee Carsley’s side second in Group 2 after the opening four matches, but the Three Lions trail the current leaders Greece by three points.
That comes after the humiliating defeat against them at Wembley Stadium on Thursday (10 October), which was a match to forget for the Three Lions.
The defeat in the Nations League second tier was the first time the team have been beaten at Wembley since 2020, with Greece enjoying 12 shots throughout the game.
Ivan Jovanovic’s side became the lowest-ranked team (48th) to beat the Three Lions in a competitive encounter since they lost to Northern Ireland in September 2005.
Vangelis Pavlidis scored a brace to earn Greece the 2-1 win, providing a major blow to England’s hopes of getting promoted back to League A in the Nations League.

Jack Grealish continues to impress under Lee Carsley’s England team
Carsley opted to play an experimental team against Greece which included no out-and-out striker, but Grealish wasn’t involved in the squad.
The Man City winger did start against Finland though and rewarded Carsley with another impressive individual performance as he scored his second goal under the interim boss.
Grealish has now scored as many goals in his last three games for England as he has in his previous 30 for Man City, proving that he’s adapting to Carsley’s style.
The former Aston Villa star has enjoyed a much-needed positive spell at the international level after he was left out of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.

England will have the chance to avenge their defeat against Greece during the next international break when they travel to Athens Olympic Stadium to face them on 14 November.
That camp will also be Carsley’s final stint in charge of the team unless he’s named the permanent manager, as his interim period is set to end.
In other news, England fans can’t believe unexpected Trent Alexander-Arnold twist.
