Man City winger Jack Grealish posted on social media after the club’s 2-1 comeback win over Leyton Orient in the FA Cup.
Man City narrowly avoided an upset after overturning a 1-0 deficit against Leyton Orient to progress to the next round.
Tottenham loanee Jamie Donley scored a stunning goal from near the halfway line, to give the home side an early lead with a brief scare for Pep Guardiola’s side.
However, Abdukodir Khusanov equalised before Grealish set up Kevin De Bruyne for the winner.
Grealish has faced criticism from Man City fans this season for his performances, but his crucial assist helped his side secure their place in the next round.
Pep Guardiola continues to play Jack Grealish despite poor form
The Englishman took to Instagram after the victory, applauding both the fans and Leyton Orient for their performance.
He wrote: “Through to the next round. Well done to Leyton Orient, they were brilliant, and thank you to our away support, was incredible.”
Grealish also sent a message to Man City teammate Rico Lewis after the game and remains active on social media, particularly following City’s wins.

Despite speculation over his future, the Englishman still has a role to play in Guardiola’s side. However, Football Insider has reported that Man City would be open to offers for Grealish at the end of the season due to his underwhelming form.
He has made just six Premier League starts this season, featuring 23 times across all competitions. His output has been disappointing, with only two goals and five assists.
His inconsistency was evident last year as well—he failed to score a single league goal throughout 2024.
With emerging talents stepping up and Grealish struggling to make an impact, a move away from the Etihad could provide him with a much-needed fresh start.
