Jack Grealish sends message to Erling Haaland after shock announcement

Man City star Jack Grealish took to social media to congratulate teammate Erling Haaland after the striker announced he is set to become a father.

The 24-year-old made the unexpected announcement after becoming Norway’s all-time leading goal scorer, bagging 34 goals in just 36 goals for his country.

Haaland celebrated his second goal in Norway’s 3-0 UEFA Nations League win over Slovenia by tucking the ball under his shirt and sucking his thumb, playfully teasing the crowd ahead of the revelation.

Norway now sit at the summit of the UEFA Nations League Group three ahead of their game against second-placed Austria on Sunday (October 13).

Following Haaland’s announcement, Grealish was quick to congratulate the striker, commenting on his Instagram post.

The left-winger remains with the England national team despite picking up a knock ahead of their 2-1 defeat to Greece on Thursday (October 10).

Once the international break is over, both Haaland and Grealish will have to turn their attention to their Premier League game against bottom-placed Wolves on Sunday, October 20th.
