Jack Grealish sends message to Omar Marmoush amid Man City exit claim

Jack Grealish shared a message for his Manchester City teammate Omar Marmoush as speculation continues to swirl around his future at the club.

Man City are set to face Brighton on Saturday (15 March) as they are without a midweek fixture after their early exit in the Champions League to Real Madrid.

Grealish found himself in an familiar position as he was left on the bench for their recent loss over Nottingham Forest.

This marks his 11th consecutive Premier League game without a start, a clear sign of his struggles to secure a place in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI.

The lack of game time has fuelled speculation surrounding his future at the club, with talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan claiming that Manchester City may look to sell Grealish in the summer, arguing that the “economics” of keeping him no longer add up.

Despite the ongoing rumours about his own career, Grealish took a moment to share a supportive message for Marmoush in an update to the fans.

Marmoush has frustrated Guardiola in recent games, but particularly after his disappointing performance against Liverpool.

The Egyptian winger has scored three goals since his January arrival, but all came in the same match against Newcastle, leaving many to question his consistency.

Meanwhile, Grealish was also under fire from Man City fans, after being spotted leaving a pub the day after a strong performance in the FA Cup against Plymouth on 1 March.

Despite the backlash, both Grealish and Marmoush appeared in high spirits during training and are determined to bounce back after City’s 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.

When City splashed out a British record £100 million to sign Grealish in 2021, they were landing one of the most coveted talents in world football. But after another lacklustre season, he has found himself in a rotational role, making just six league starts and featuring in 27 matches across all competitions.

After yet another season of inconsistent performances, Football Insider revealed that Guardiola is set to make a crucial decision about Grealish’s future at the club this summer.

As for Marmoush, while his struggles continue at City, the club’s investment in him was still significant. However, despite the camaraderie between the two, their futures may not be aligned, with Grealish facing an uncertain summer transfer window.
