Jack Grealish to ‘never play for Man City again’ – fans react to surprise news
Man City fans have taken to social media to voice their confusion after Jack Grealish was surprisingly called up to the England team despite being injured.
The 29-year-old has been out of action for City ever since picking up an injury in training ahead of their 5-0 Champions League win over Sparta Prague earlier in the season.
He has since missed the club’s last five games, in which Pep Guardiola’s side have suffered three consecutive defeats for the first time since 2018.
City have fallen into second place in the Premier League after their defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday (November 2) giving up the top spot to Arne Slot’s Liverpool in the race for the title.
Jack Grealish missing for Man City but is available for England
Despite his injury, the winger has been called up to Lee Carsley’s last England squad as interim manager for their UEFA Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.
Perplexed by the decision, fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to question whether Grealish should have been included.
