‘Jack Grealish’s Everton move in doubt’ as senior source reveals ‘huge question mark’
Jack Grealish’s reported move to Everton could be in serious doubt as a “huge question mark” around the deal emerges.
The 29-year-old is set to leave Man City this summer after falling out of favour at the Etihad Stadium.
Grealish was handed just seven Premier League starts by Pep Guardiola last season, with the likes of Jeremy Doku being preferred on the left-hand side.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday (11 June) that Grealish would prefer to join Everton over Newcastle if he was to stay in England.
However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has suggested his former club could be set to miss out on the ex-Villa man.

‘Napoli an option for Grealish’, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness suggested that Grealish may decide to move to Napoli if the Italian club come forward with an offer.
The Serie A champions hold an interest in the attacker, with manager Antonio Conte widely reported to be an admirer of his.
Wyness believes that the Napoli fans “would love” Grealish if he made the switch to Italy.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Although Jack is a homebody, as I’ve stressed many times, I do think something like Italy for him would be an option.
“Having seen how McTominay’s been treated in Napoli, I think Jack would be treated the same way in Italy.
“They would love him over there, and I think he could handle that sort of move into that culture, as opposed to Saudi which I think would have been very hard for him.
“I’m sure Everton are working overtime to see if a loan deal can be done, but that’s my big question mark.”

Everton in the race to sign Coufal
Meanwhile, Football Insider exclusively reported on Wednesday (11 June), that Everton are eyeing a move for former West Ham defender Vladimir Coufal – alongside rivals Fulham and Wolves.
Newly promoted trio Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland are also monitoring the Czech Republic international’s situation, as are Wolves and Fulham.
Coufal, 32, is a free agent this summer after leaving West Ham upon the expiration of his contract following five years with the Irons.
