Jack Harrison reacts to Carlos Alcaraz after Everton transfer news

Everton winger Jack Harrison has reacted to his new teammate Carlos Alcaraz’s post on social media.

The Argentinean midfielder joined the Toffee’s on Deadline Day, but the deal was put in doubt after Everton had to ask the Premier League for an extension to complete Alcaraz’s transfer.

The deal to bring the former Southampton man from Flamengo to Everton is an initial loan, with a mandatory purchase option.

Alcaraz was their only January signing in a window that saw them linked to a number of players, as Everton eye a move for free agent Willian, and Ernest Nuamah on loan from Lyon was considered by the Toffees, with neither deal coming to fruition.

Despite passing profit and sustainablitity checks (PSR), and having a free spot for an international loan, Everton chose not to make another signing on Deadline Day.

Everton bring in Alcaraz to help new boss Moyes in relegation battle

Since re-joining the Toffees, David Moyes has breathed new life into his old club, winning three out of four Premier League games.

The Toffees now sit nine points clear of the relegation zone and look set to extend their stay in the top flight of English football.

Alcaraz is a familiar face for English football fans, having spent two seasons with Southampton between 2022-2024.

The Argentinean midfielder’s versatility will make him a major asset to Moyes, as Alcaraz is comfortable playing anywhere in the middle of the park, and out wide.

Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison pleased with Everton addition

The former Flamengo man posted on his Instagram posing in an Everton shirt following his Deadline Day transfer.

His new teammate Harrison, liked the post that reads: “I’m very happy for this new challenge, a new chapter begins with Everton. LET’S GO! Thank you to my family and my team for always supporting me!”

Harrison has been linked with an exit from Everton, following a poor run of form, but will be hoping his new teammate can help him find his feet at the club.
