Jaden Philogene tells friends who he wants to join out of Everton & Ipswich
Ipswich Town have climbed into pole position ahead of Everton in the race to sign Hull City’s Jaden Philogene this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League new boys face strong competition from the Merseysiders to secure the 22-year-old’s signature, but it’s the newly promoted club that are in the driving seat.
Hull City have accepted bids from both clubs, with Ipswich currently working on a £35million double deal that includes Jacob Greaves.
Sources say that Philogene has told friends he prefers Ipswich’s proposal over what Everton have offered.
The medical team is on stand-by to complete formalities of the transfer.
Football Insider revealed that Greaves was booked in for his medical earlier this week after he agreed a five-year contract with the Tractor Boys.
Ipswich Town are injecting the squad with youth
Both Greaves and Philogene are young players, but their impressive performances for Hull have caught the eye of many clubs.
The winger scored 12 goals and provided six assists last season in 32 appearances, showcasing his quality at a young age.

Philogene isn’t the only attacker that the Tractor Boys are attempting to sign this summer though.
Football Insider revealed that Ipswich have made a move to try to sign former Rangers star Ryan Kent as they attempt to bolster the squad ahead of the new campaign.
In other news, Ipswich and Southampton are in the race to sign Man City star.
