Jadon Sancho aims online dig at Cole Palmer amid mystery Chelsea absence
Jadon Sancho has aimed a cheeky dig at Cole Palmer online after getting one over on his Chelsea teammate in training.
Since joining the Blues from Man City last summer, Palmer has undoubtedly been the standout player at Stamford Bridge, so they will be desperate to continue to benefit from him in the long-term.
His contributions were key to the Stamford Bridge club qualifying for European football last season, and have been a driving force behind their push for a top four spot at the start of the current campaign.
However, the 22-year-old caught out in training by Sancho who flicked the ball through his legs during a rondo as teammates hooted with laughter.
The Man United loanee has been absent from Enzo Maresca’s side for nearly a month with what the Independent call an “unspecified illness”, and the manager didn’t give any information on his status this week, after a strong start for the club.
But he is clearly back in training and seemed to be enjoying himself. After Chelsea posted the clip to their Instagram page, the 24-year-old shared it to his own story, along with the following message for Palmer: “Someone check on my boy, they never learn!”

This footage and the message accompanying it will surely be something those connected with the club will enjoy.
It is clear from this that the spirits are high in the camp, which could be important with a busy schedule to come, given there are no more international breaks until March.
Maresca’s side are seemingly set to go into that run of games in good stead, which ought to help them continue their strong start to the season.

There have been flashes of the quality that Sancho possesses since he moved to Chelsea but they have not yet been an entirely regular feature of his game, and the recent absence may have set alarm bells ringing given how things turned sour for him at Old Trafford.
Even so, the fact he is in this mood suggest he is still buying into what is being done while he is at Stamford Bridge.
They will hope that can eventually bring the best out of the winger, and this after the time out with illness, it will be interesting to see if this leads to him returning to action at Leicester this weekend.
Chelsea though, can at least go into this game and the run to follow with some sense of confidence behind them.
