Liverpool fans thrilled by Jadon Sancho after his Jurgen Klopp message

Jadon Sancho was full of praise for ‘legend’ and ex-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after his return to Borussia Dortmund for a testimonial match.

Klopp, 57, returned to the club he won the 2011-12 Bundesliga title with for a testimonial game in honour of ex-players Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski.

The big friendly German led his side of Dortmund legends to a 5-4 victory and clearly relished his time back at the Signal Igunda Park.

Sancho, 24, who left the German club for the bright lights of Old Trafford, has since joined Chelsea on loan with an obligation to buy for around £25million after six months back in Dortmund last season.

Man United and Sancho have since unfollowed each other on Instagram following the winger’s move.

Jadon Sancho praises Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp after Man United move

Earlier this summer, Klopp appeared to criticise Man United’s treatment of the England winger during his farewell event.

“If the whole world loses trust and faith in the player then the manager has to be the one behind the player,” he said.

Klopp then added, “I cannot just buy into that ‘he’s useless’ stuff like other clubs did by the way. Buying a player for £80 million and then sending him out on loan!”

Sancho left Man United with just 12 goals in 83 appearances across all competitions following a public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

The 20-time Premier League champions currently sit in 14th place with one win and two losses in their opening three games of the season.
