‘Jadon Sancho has an issue at Man United… Ratcliffe is shaking his head at this’
Man United must find a solution for the future of Jadon Sancho this summer after he returned from yet another loan spell.
Chelsea opted to pay £5million to send Sancho back to United after his loan, rather than coughing up £25million to make the deal permanent.
The winger started 19 Premier League games during his underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge, scoring three goals and picking up five assists.
Former club Borussia Dortmund have been rumoured as a potential destination for the 25-year-old, who fell out of favour at Old Trafford back at the start of the 2023-24 campaign.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Sancho’s situation is just “one of a long list of headaches” at Man United currently.

‘There’s an issue with Sancho’, says Wyness
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Chelsea made the correct decision in rejecting a permanent deal for Sancho.
The England international made the switch to United from Dortmund back in the summer of 2021, but failed to live up to his £73million price tag.
Wyness added that he believes there is “obviously an issue with the player”.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “They’re trying to put a very brave face on it.
But I think that Chelsea giving Sancho back is just another one that Jim Ratcliffe is shaking his head and going, ‘no, what do we do here‘.
“It does give United a headache. It’s one that they’d hoped they’d resolved, but no. I think Chelsea have done the right thing.
“There’s obviously an issue with the player, what Amorim can do with him, I don’t know.
“I think they’re going to be looking to try and move him on elsewhere, but it’s just another one on the long list of headaches that United have got in this window.“

Sancho could be off to Saudi Arabia
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia could be where Sancho ends up this summer, with Man United planning to accept offers for him.
This is according to Mick Brown, who spent over a decade as the chief scout at Old Trafford and claimed that the 25-year-old’s options are limited as things stand.
It comes after former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Sancho is one of five players at United who will be moved on to balance the books.
