Jadon Sancho makes decision on shock Man United return – sources
Man United winger Jadon Sancho will not return to the first-team while Erik ten Hag remains in charge, sources have told Football Insider.
The futures of Sancho and Ten Hag are up in the air following the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign.
United are yet to communicate a decision on the future of the Dutchman after the club’s shock FA Cup final win against Man City last month.
Football Insider revealed on 28 May Ten Hag will likely still be sacked, with Old Trafford chiefs bitterly disappointed with the club’s eighth-place Premier League finish.
Meanwhile, Sancho reignited his faltering career with a loan return to Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.
Sancho won’t return to Man United first team with Ten Hag in charge
He made 18 starts in 21 total appearances for the Bundesliga club, notching three goals and three assists.
His time back at Dortmund ended in heartbreak, with Edin Terzic’s side losing 2-0 against Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Wembley on Saturday (1 June).
Sancho and Ten Hag fell out publicly last year (2023) after a disagreement over the winger’s training levels.

He made just three Man United appearances totalling 76 minutes earlier this season before being excluded from the first-team group.
The England international joined the Red Devils from Dortmund in 2021 for a reported £73million and is under contract until June 2026.
