Jadon Sancho reacts to Cole Palmer message after Chelsea spat
Cole Palmer posted a message to Jadon Sancho following the Chelsea 2-1 victory over Brentford, with the on-loan winger responding in kind.
The West London club climbed to second in the table after their victory on Sunday (15 December) at Stamford Bridge. They are now sitting just two points behind league leaders Liverpool after their controversial draw to Fulham that sparked debate after the Reds were down to ten men.
The Blues secured their fifth consecutive Premier League win under Enzo Maresca, with goals from Marc Cucurella and Nicolas Jackson. Palmer, usually at the heart of Chelsea’s goalscoring exploits surprisingly didn’t directly contribute this time, in large part due to a first-half move which left him disbelief and annoyed at Sancho.
However, he took to social media after the points were secured to acknowledge his Blues teammate, tagging him in an Instagram story.
He put the caption “1%” alongside a fingers-crossed emoji and a heart. Sancho reposted the story with the same emojis in his own post.

The Chelsea players are always active with each other on social media after a rewarding victory, so it’s no surprise to see their star player joining in afterwards.

Maresca’s side have now scored 37 goals in the league, making their attack the most potent in the division.
The Italian continues to downplay his team’s title chances, but fans are more than impressed with their team’s strong start.
Despite criticism of a bloated squad, the team has found value in their depth, with their attacking options proving prolific. They have plans in place in case a player like Palmer gets injured, with the likes of Christopher Nkunku ready to step in.
