Jadon Sancho sends cryptic message to Chelsea fans pre-Arsenal clash
Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has taken to social media to give fans an update on why he’s been missing for their last few games.
The 24-year-old hasn’t featured for Chelsea since their 2-1 Premier League defeat to Liverpool on matchday eight, in which he was substituted at half-time.
Sancho missed his side’s 2-1 win over Newcastle due to illness and was then ineligible to face his parent club, Man United, due to a clause in his loan deal.
Speaking ahead of their Europa Conference League clash with FC Noah, which Chelsea went on to win 8-0, Maresca was unsure if Sancho would feature in their game against Arsenal on Sunday (November 10).
“Jadon is recovering from illness but he also had a knock in a session. Tomorrow he is out but we will see if he can be available for Sunday’s game, otherwise it will be after the international break for him.”
Jadon Sancho on the Chelsea sidelines
After spending the second half of last season on loan at former club Borussia Dortmund, the left winger decided to call it quits on his tumultuous time at Man United.
Since joining the West London club on transfer deadline day, Sancho has refound some form, bagging three assists in five Premier League games.
Rightly or wrongly, Sancho has a reputation and took to Instagram to quell rumours that he was skiving at Chelsea with a picture of him in the physio room.

If he doesn’t feature against Arsenal, Sancho will have a good two weeks to regain his fitness after missing out on Lee Carsley’s most recent England squad.
Maresca has his side in the frame for Champions League qualification once again this season, sitting in fourth with 18 points from their first 10 games.
