Jadon Sancho slammed after Marcus Rashford news in ‘sad’ Man United update
Jadon Sancho has been blasted following his message to Marcus Rashford that appeared to aim a dig at Man United, by Simon Jordan.
Rashford of course left Old Trafford late in the winter transfer window, when he joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season with the option to buy.
That came after a period where the 27-year-old had been exiled from the Man United squad, and on the end of some brutal comments from manager Ruben Amorim.
Sancho himself left Man United back in the summer to join Chelsea on a temporary basis, after falling out with previous manager Erik ten Hag.
On Sunday (9 February), Rashford made his debut for Aston Villa in their 2-1 win over Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round.
After the attacker had posted on social media to react to his first outing for his new club, Sancho appeared to aim a dig at Man United by commenting on Rashford’s post with the word “Freedom”.

Many of course took Sancho‘s message to be a suggestion that Rashford had joined him in escaping the ongoing situation at Old Trafford.
Simon Jordan though was not impressed by the comment from the on-loan Chelsea winger, suggesting it indicates that he does not react well when things do not go his way.
The former Crystal Palace chairman also issued a damning verdict of Sancho’s career which failed to take off at Man United, although he does feel it is a bad reflection on the club that these comments are being made.

When asked on talkSPORT what he made of Sancho’s “freedom” message to Rashford, Jordan said: “Not very much to be honest with you. I think what Jadon Sancho has to say is not particularly relevant to Marcus Rashford’s situation.
“I don’t think he’s covered himself in particular glory. He’s had a few decent games for Chelsea, but other than that, a few decent games for Dortmund but his career’s gone backwards.
“He’s responsible for it, not anyone else and this is the sort of atypical response from someone, or people, that always like to align other people with the blame for their current failings.
“I don’t trawl across people’s social media to find controversial observations. I think it’s a sad indication of where United have gotten to, that people think they can speak about the club in this way.
“It might just simply be a different message but I think the underlying message is that ‘you’re out of the awful place that Manchester has become’.
“A place that’s been created by the culture of player that’s been in there and I would suggest players like Jadon Sancho who only like things, it would appear, only like it when they’re told all the good things, they can’t really deal with any home truths, or they can’t have any consequences for their actions, because if they do, they don’t like it.”

Football Insider Verdict
It is of course worth noting that Sancho is still only on loan with Chelsea until the end of the season as things stand.
That of course means he is still contracted to Man United although moments like this make it hard to see a way back from him at Old Trafford.

Making these comments that can so easily been viewed as taking shots at the club are not going to make anyone connected with the Red Devils want to welcome him back with open arms.
Indeed, the fact that Rashford appears keen to stay out of this has seemingly gone down well with Man United fans.
That may indicate that if the pair do head back to the club at the end of the season, there may be varying reactions to the duo in certain quarters.
With that in mind, a comment such as this from Sancho is unlikely to have done him any favours.
