Jadon Sancho to return to Man United in January? Update on ‘break clause’
Aston Villa have been unimpressed with Jadon Sancho after his slow start to the season.
Sancho joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan over the summer yet has failed to make an instant impact in the Midlands.
His performance is of particular importance to Unai Emery, with sources telling Football Insider that Aston Villa will only sign Sancho on a permanent basis if he hits the ground running at the club.
Yet, with just two starts in all competitions and no goal involvements, the Villa board will be feeling very disappointed by the Englishman’s loan spell thus far.

Sancho expected to see out loan spell at Aston Villa despite ongoing struggles
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 25-year-old looks unlikely to head back to Man United before the end of his loan spell.
The Red Devils are keen to offload him permanently by next summer, with sources telling Football Insider that top European clubs remain interested in signing Sancho after the end of his loan at Aston Villa.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over his need to turn things around under Emery to attract more transfer attention by the end of the season, I explained: “I think he will see out the season at Villa.

“I don’t think there is a break clause in that loan deal that would allow him to return to United in January. So it does seem that Jadon Sancho will see out the season at Aston Villa.
“It’s not great that for any player to be brought on as a substitute and then to be taken off as well in the same game [against Man City on 26 October].
“But he has struggled to make an impact in the squad, there’s no getting away from that. We know what Unai Emery demands.”
Aston Villa remain firm on Ezri Konsa stance
Another Englishman who has come under intense transfer speculation is Villa’s prized centre-back Ezri Konsa.

Former Man United senior scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Aston Villa will block any approaches from Liverpool for Konsa.
Tottenham and Chelsea are also thought to be admirers, yet, Aston Villa will not sell Konsa under any circumstances.
Building a strong spine to the team is crucial for success in the Premier League and the 28-year-old looks to be heading nowhere.
