Jadon Sancho’s chances of agreeing permanent Aston Villa deal revealed
Aston Villa will consider making Jadon Sancho’s loan move from Man United permanent if he hits the ground running after the international break.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about the 25-year-old’s long-term future as he is not part of Ruben Amorim‘s plans.
With just one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, a number of clubs are set to keep an eye on his performances at Villa Park with permanent moves in mind.
However, Football Insider revealed on 5 August that Man United plan to extend Sancho’s deal thanks to a clause in his contract which gives them the option for an additional year.
Villa’s difficult financial situation meant the winger’s move was a straight loan with no option to buy, but considerations have been made about his long-term future.
Should he prove to be a success in Unai Emery‘s squad before the January transfer window, efforts could be made to make his stay at Villa Park permanent.

Aston Villa plot permanent Sancho move after Man United ‘delight’
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that United are “delighted” with the loan deal after initially fearing they would struggle to offload his wages.
Villa are believed to be covering around 80 per cent of the 25-year-old’s significant wage packet, easing the considerable financial burden on Amorim’s side.
O’Rourke explained that while United are currently benefiting from his wages being off the bill, there are still plans to shift him permanently with a return highly unlikely.
“With Sancho, it depends on how he gets on with Aston Villa,” he told Football Insider.
“He had a very successful loan at Borussia Dortmund two seasons ago, it didn’t really work out for him at Chelsea last year and they decided not to make it permanent.
“Villa are hopeful he will be a success for them and then they’ll look at making the deal permanent.

“The big thing for him now is to be playing football and playing regularly.
“The talent is there, there’s no doubt about that, and he will be hoping he can get back to his best.
“It would be good for United as well because it would put him in the shop window and potentially increase his price tag ahead of next summer.“
Emiliano Martinez has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia
Alongside the eventual move for Sancho, United and Villa had also been subject to plenty of speculation surrounding the future of Emiliano Martinez.
Football Insider revealed on 5 September that Martinez is prepared to stay at Aston Villa and will snub any offers from Saudi Pro League or Turkish teams.

The goalkeeper is widely believed to have had his heart set on a move to Old Trafford, but after no offer materialised, he has changed his mind on an immediate Villa Park exit.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 24 August that Martinez has no plans to leave Aston Villa despite his departure looking “inevitable” at the end of last season.
