James Maddison reacts as Tottenham teammate shares heartache about missing final
Radu Dragusin had a motivated message for Tottenham supporters as they prepare for their Europa League final showdown with Manchester United.
Tottenham are gearing up for one of their most important fixtures in recent memory, with the chance to claim European silverware against Man United.
One player who will unfortunately miss the final is Dragusin, who has been sidelined since February after suffering an ACL tear that ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
Injuries have plagued Spurs throughout the campaign, severely impacting their form. They now find themselves languishing in 17th place in the Premier League.
Several key players are also unavailable for the final, including Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison, who have both sustained season-ending injuries for Tottenham.
Amid the club’s preparations, Dragusin shared a message of motivation for the fans, urging them to rally behind the team as they aim to end a difficult season on a high.

Radu Dragusin sends message of support to Tottenham fans ahead of Europa League final
The defender shared an uplifting message for Spurs supporters in an Instagram post, writing: “It’s been a tough season, but we’ve fought together and earned our spot in the final. I’m proud of this team. It’s hard to miss a night like this, but football teaches resilience. I’m with the boys every step. Let’s go finish the job. COYS.”
His words received plenty of support from teammates, with the likes of Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson all liking the post.
Tottenham fans had previously described this season as “cursed” after Dragusin’s injury added to a growing injury list following his ACL tear. His absence has been felt, especially given the repeated setbacks to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.
Earlier this month, Dragusin shared a positive update on his recovery, raising hopes of a return in time for the start of next season. The Romanian international had grown into an important presence in the squad, making 28 appearances before his injury.
Ange Postecoglou under pressure as Tottenham face defining night

Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham remains uncertain heading into the Europa League final.
Despite reaching a European final, Spurs’ league form has left fans and club executives questioning the direction under the Australian. They currently sit 17th in the Premier League, a position that would usually bring managerial changes.
Football Insider reported on 2 May that Postecoglou could retain his job if he delivers Europa League silverware. However, if Spurs fall short and end the season trophyless, paired with such a low league finish, his position will likely become untenable.
