James Maddison reacts to Kevin Danso after miserable Tottenham debut v Liverpool
Tottenham defender Kevin Danso posted on social media following his side’s heavy defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Tottenham were eliminated from the competition after a 4-0 loss in the second leg at Anfield, despite holding a 1-0 aggregate lead going into the game.
Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Virgil van Dijk secured Liverpool’s place in the final at Wembley.
Tottenham struggled to handle the pressure against Liverpool, unable to match the intensity on the night. Danso made his first start for Spurs in the match and remained in high spirits despite the disappointing defeat.
Kevin Danso set for key role at Tottenham for the remainder of the season
Danso took to Instagram following his debut and said: “Yesterday marked my debut for Tottenham Hotspur in the cup, and though we fell short against a strong side, I couldn’t be prouder to have worn this shirt for the first time.
“The loss stings, but I truly believe in this team and our journey ahead. I want to thank everyone at the club, and every single fan for the support!
Onwards and upwards. COYS.”

Despite being sidelined with injury, James Maddison showed his support by liking the post.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have been dealing with a major injury crisis this season, particularly in defence, with key players like Cristian Romero and Radu Dragusin out.
Following Dragusin’s recent setback, Spurs fans have suggested the club is “cursed” due to the relentless wave of injuries, which forced the club to act in the transfer market meaning Danso will likely play a lot of minutes.
Tottenham stand by Ange Postecoglou despite struggles
Football Insider Verdict
Despite being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Liverpool and languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, the Spurs hierarchy continues to support the Australian coach.

Football Insider reported that the Tottenham board recognises the ongoing injury crisis and are committed to Postecoglou until key players return.
While some Spurs fans have called for Postecoglou to be sacked, the board appears determined to stand by him for now.
