James Maddison sends welcome message after confirmed Tottenham signing
James Maddison has taken to social media to send a welcome message after Tottenham confirmed that they have completed their first signing of the summer.
Spurs are beginning a new era after Ange Postecoglou was sacked just 16 days after he guided the club to their first piece of major silverware since 2008.
The North London side beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final to put an end to their longstanding trophy hoodoo.
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Thomas Frank is the favourite to take over at Tottenham, and the news was officially announced earlier this week.

Maddison sends welcome message
Maddison started 21 top-flight games for Tottenham last season, as they fell to a worst-ever Premier League finish of 17th.
The 28-year-old scored nine goals and racked up seven assists in the league, but missed the final four games of the campaign through injury.
Games | Goals | Assists |
31 | 9 | 7 |
During the off-season, Maddison took to social media to react to the news that Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich
The Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan in North London, and the temporary deal has now been made permanent.
Maddison posted the announcement on his story, with the caption reading “COYS” alongside a handshake emoji.

Tottenham eye more attacking transfers
After securing their first signing of the summer transfer window, Tottenham are not resting on their laurels, as they look to add to their attacking ranks.
Frank has barely stepped foot in the door, but it hasn’t stopped Daniel Levy from seeking out potential improvements to the squad, as the Spurs chief hopes to avoid a repeat of the 2024/25 domestic campaign.
Tottenham are interested in Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, but will have to pay £70million to complete the deal.
Semenyo scored 11 goals in the Premier League last season, and featured in every single game bar one for Andoni Iraola’s side.
Bournemouth have already lost Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, and with Milos Kerkez set to join Liverpool, they will be desperate not to sell another key player.
