James McClean makes bold claim about Rangers clash against Celtic, issues warning
West Brom and Ireland winger James McClean has boldly claimed that Celtic will thump Rangers in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
Derry-born McClean, 28, took to his personal Instagram account to warn the Light Blues that Brendan Rodgers’ side will roll them aside when the two Glasgow giants meet in Govan.
“Celtic thumping Rangers at Ibrox, pending,” the former Sunderland winger said.
Rangers go into the game six points behind Celtic and could potentially close up the gap and put a huge amount of pressure on the Scottish Premiership title favourites.
McClean is a player who the Hoops supporters have been wanting to see play for them for a long time.
He regularly posts about his support for the Bhoys and this perhaps won’t be his last comment about the game on Sunday.

Football Insider verdict
Celtic’s form has not been that great in the past few months, while since the winter break, Rangers have shown signs that they could beat Brendan Rodgers’ men. Graeme Murty and Mark Allen made a lot of good signings in January and it will be very interesting to see who comes out on top this weekend. McClean clearly believes that the Hoops will breeze to success. He is a player who is not afraid to show his support to a team he has never played for and that has led many fans to wanting him to be signed up. With West Brom’s relegation looking more likely every week, maybe this summer is the time that the Ireland international moves to Parkhead.
