The defender was labelled the “worst captain” in the history of the Scottish giants as he spoke of his disappointment to Rangers TV about the loss to Dynamo Kyiv.
Philippe Clement’s side were knocked out of Champions League qualifying after a 2-0 defeat in a game that left fans furious.
The Gers supporters were mad at Cyriel Dessers after footage appeared to show him swearing at the fans, and Tavernier’s post-match interview didn’t aid their frustration.
