James Tavernier reacts to Hamza Igamane’s message to Rangers fans amid exit claim
Hamza Igamane scored a dramatic late-winner in the Old Firm Derby and had a message for the Rangers fans after the thrilling victory.
Rangers edged past Celtic in a dramatic 3-2 win on 16 March, with goals from Nico Raskin, Mohamed Diomande, and Igamane sealing the result.
The Gers wasted no time making an impact, as Raskin lost Jeffrey Schlupp at a corner and found the net just four minutes in, guiding a precise header past the keeper. Diomande then doubled the advantage before half-time, capping off a dominant first half.
Celtic came roaring back in the second half, with Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate finding the net to level the scoreline. Although, when it seemed the game was heading for a draw, Igamane produced a moment of magic in the 88th minute, unleashing a stunning strike to secure the win in dramatic fashion.
Despite his heroics, Football Insider has revealed that Igamane could seek a move away from Rangers, with Sevilla and Marseille both monitoring his situation.
However, the speculation didn’t stop the Moroccan forward from sending a message to the Rangers faithful as he celebrated a result to remember.
Everton keen on Hamza Igamane as Rangers face transfer dilemma
Igamane kept his message to the Rangers faithful brief after his dramatic Old Firm winner, sharing match photos on Instagram with the caption: “+3 Alhamdulillah.”
His teammates were quick to respond, with goalscorer Raskin, captain James Tavernier, and goalkeeper Jack Butland all liking the post.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed that Everton are preparing a move for Igamane, with sources suggesting there is a “real possibility” a deal could be struck.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown also told Football Insider that Rangers may be forced to consider offers for Igamane, due to their financial situation, potentially opening the door for the Moroccan forward’s departure.

Barry Ferguson backed for permanent Rangers role after Old Firm success
Igamane arrived at Ibrox last summer and has since become an integral part of the squad, particularly under interim boss Barry Ferguson.
Despite a rocky start to his tenure, the former captain has guided the team into the Europa League quarter-finals and secured a statement victory over Celtic in his first Old Firm Derby as manager.
After an impressive week, Rangers fans are calling for Ferguson to be given the job on a permanent basis, with many believing his leadership could bring much-needed stability to the club.
