James Tavernier sends six-word message to Rangers fans as full stats emerge
Rangers captain James Tavernier has taken to social media to thank the fans for their support after their 6-0 Scottish Premier League win over Kilmarnock on Wednesday (December 4).
The 33-year-old had arguably his best game of the season so far, scoring Rangers’ opener in the 37th minute before providing the assist for their sixth.
Philippe Clement’s side struck three times in just eight minutes, with goals from Danilo, Hamza Igamane, and Vaclav Cerny, extending the lead to 4-0 and blowing the visitors out of the water.
Cyriel Dessers then got in on the act, scoring a brace as Rangers cut the deficit with second-placed Aberdeen to five points.
Tavernier wasn’t just a constant attacking threat, he was integral to Rangers’ clean sheet, winning 100 per cent of his tackles, making three recoveries, and winning 75 per cent of his aerial duels.

The goal-scoring right-back has once again been integral for Rangers, making 23 appearances across all competitions, 20 of which have been starts, scoring twice and providing five assists in 1780 minutes of action.
The Glasgow side’s comprehensive win over Kilmarnock has no doubt earned Clement some credit in the bank, but they remain 11 points behind arch-rivals Celtic at the top of the table.
Tavernier seemingly has no intention of giving up yet, taking to Instagram to celebrate a “good night’s work” and let fans know “we’ll continue.”

Rangers are unbeaten in their last seven games across all competitions as they prepare to face Ross County on Sunday (December 8).
Clement’s side face a tricky festive schedule, including a Europa League clash with Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs, followed by a trip to Celtic Park in the League Cup.
