James Trafford reacts to Marc Guehi’s message after demolition job
Man City goalkeeper James Trafford may have fuelled speculation with his reaction to Marc Guehi’s latest message on social media.
Guehi saw a move to Liverpool collapse on deadline day after Oliver Glasner had threatened to resign if the captain was sold without any replacement brought in.
After Igor Julio chose to join West Ham instead of the Eagles, Crystal Palace decided against selling the Englishman.
He now has less than 12 months of his current deal, and more clubs are in the race for his signature as Football Insider revealed Man City are keen on signing Guehi, with Pep Guardiola keen to beat Liverpool to his signing.
Now, the Crystal Palace captain shared an update on social media, with his focus being on the international break.

Marc Guehi celebrates after first England goal vs Serbia
While speculation has continued to surround Guehi’s future, the centre-back shared a message on social media after he scored his first senior international goal for the Three Lions as England demolished Serbia 5-0.
He posted on Instagram with multiple pictures of his celebration with a caption simply with an emoji of a lion.
Man City fans may have been quick to notice that Trafford shared a reaction to the post, as the goalkeeper liked the message amid the rumours of a potential move to the Etihad.
Other players also joined in, with Jordan Henderson and Ezri Konsa posting heart emojis, while teammate Justin Devenny left an applause emoji in support of Guehi’s landmark moment.
At club level, Guehi has been pivotal under Glasner ever since his appointment and played a crucial role in Crystal Palace’s FA Cup victory last season.
Alongside Man City, Football Insider revealed that Real Madrid and Barcelona have joined the race for Guehi, although Liverpool remain the front-runners.

James Trafford faces uncertain Man City future
While Trafford shared a reaction on social media, his future at the club has already come into question.
Reports suggest that Trafford faces an uncertain Man City future with the signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma on deadline day.
Trafford returned to the Etihad in the summer and started all three of City’s opening Premier League fixtures, but Football Insider revealed that Donnarumma is set to take over the number-one role at Man City.
That development has already raised questions about Trafford’s place in the squad, with neither goalkeeper having signed at the Etihad to sit on the bench.
