Jamie Carragher launches impassioned Arne Slot retort after what Jill Scott said about Liverpool
Jamie Carragher has again spoken out about the situation at Liverpool between Mohamed Salah and Arne Slot.
Salah said he’d been “thrown under the bus” by Liverpool in an explosive interview following a draw with Leeds United at the start of the month.
The winger had been left out of the starting line-up for the third consecutive game, and admitted to no longer having a relationship with Slot.
Salah was left out of the Liverpool squad to face Inter Milan, but returned to the bench against Brighton, assisting Hugo Ekitike‘s second goal.
Ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, Salah waved goodbye to the Liverpool fans at Anfield, with many unsure if they will see the Egypt international again.

Jamie Carragher baffled by Jill Scott’s comments
Salah has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League in January, with the winger’s future at Liverpool increasingly unclear.
Saudi Arabian teams had attempted to sign the 33-year-old last season, but he eventually agreed to a new two-year deal with the Reds.
But with the Liverpool legend dropped from Slot’s starting line-up, rumours of a move away have once again fired up.

Salah deservedly won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award for his performances last season, but there is no doubting that his form has suffered in recent months.
The winger started the campaign in good form, but has not scored since the start of November amid Liverpool’s struggle for results.
“I think when he says ‘thrown under the bus’, I don’t even think it’s about playing time,” former England international Jill Scott told The Overlap podcast on Thursday.
“I think it’s how he’s been treated. You’s [Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher] were probably never treated like that by your club. If you go through that, you do have a different opinion, I do think that.”
Carragher was incensed by the comments, and said: “How has he been disrespected? He’s been on the bench, right, for six days. Sunday to Saturday, six days of his life.
“His whole Liverpool career, it’s been three times. Mo Salah said I’ve got no relationship with the manager The manager then got asked about it and said ‘I spoke to him on Friday about not playing, the day before the game.’
“He said he was in the office, you don’t know that, you can’t say he’s getting disrespected!”
Liverpool have a choice to make amid Salah fall-out
It should not be forgotten that Slot remains under huge pressure at Liverpool.
The Dutchman has managed to curtail the Reds’ streak of losses, with his side unbeaten in their last five across all competitions, but he could quickly be plunged back into peril.
Depending on how far Egypt go, Salah is set to return for Liverpool at some point in January.
It will be then that his future is assessed, with the full extent of the fall-out between himself and Slot yet to be revealed.
Liverpool may well be faced with a straight choice between the two, with either decision set to send ripples around Anfield.
