Jamie Gittens to head for Chelsea exit doors already as ‘surprise’ transfer update emerges
Jamie Gittens’ rather sorry spell at Stamford Bridge could come to an abrupt end after the latest news emerging from Chelsea.
Chelsea fans have yet to be convinced by Gittens, who has just four Premier League starts under his belt, and also just one goal in 20 appearances, coming in the Carabao Cup against Wolves.
Supporters were expecting big things from the 21-year-old winger following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund, but with Pedro Neto and Estevao shining for Chelsea, he has barely had a chance.
With the January transfer window coming up, some at Stamford Bridge have already made their feelings clear about a potential exit for the England youth international, even if just on loan.

Jamie Gittens continues to disappoint at Stamford Bridge
Despite Football Insider understanding back in October that Chelsea were unlikely to move Gittens away so soon, very little has changed with his struggles, and fans are becoming more and more frustrated.
After splashing nearly £50million on the player’s signature, the manager would have expected more from his attacking output, even if he has fallen down the pecking order and has become a bit-part player.
Alejandro Garnacho appears to be finding some form as well, which has reduced Gittens’ game time even further this season, and that might just be about to be exacerbated by the Blues.
According to the Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan (23 December), Maresca’s side have joined the race to sign Bournemouth‘s Antoine Semenyo, who was taken by surprise after an approach for his signature.
Chelsea join the busy race for Antoine Semenyo
Man City and Man United had been the two major teams interested, with Arsenal, Tottenham, and Liverpool all keeping tabs, but another of the “top six” teams have joined the race.
Semenyo, while he can play through the middle or on the right flank, comes alive at left wing, where Gittens is already struggling to secure valuable minutes on the pitch.
At just 21 years of age, a permanent move away after just six months seems unlikely, but a loan move could certainly give the player some light relief before returning ahead of next season.
Gittens has very little opportunity to impress those at Stamford Bridge right now, and if Semenyo is to choose a move to West London, his time with the Blues could come to a very sorry end already.
