'Outstanding' – Ex-Scotland international raves about Rangers deal

Former Scotland international Jamie Mackie believes that Sean Goss will do a great job for Rangers this season.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined the Gers from QPR on loan for the rest of the season on Wednesday, making him the first signing of the January transfer window by Light Blues manager Graeme Murty and director of football Mark Allen.
And Mackie, who has played with Goss at the London club for the last season, is a big fan of the signing.
“You never know how someone is going to react, but I really believe once he settles in at Rangers it’ll be a great fit” he said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“He is certainly an outstanding footballer and I just think he’s going to a fantastic place to learn.
“I know he’s extremely excited to get going at Rangers.
“I’m close friends with him and he’s a great lad, someone with a real desire to be the best he can possibly be.”
Goss can also play in defence as well as midfield, but at Ibrox he is likely to be used in central midfield, due to the injury problems suffered by the likes of Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans.
Goss is off join his team-mates in their winter break in Florida, where they are training before taking on Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians in the Florida Cup.
The new man could play his first competitive match for the Gers when they take on non-league Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup on the 21st of January.
The Gers then take on Aberdeen at Ibrox on the 25th in a match which could have huge implications for the battle for second place in the Scottish Premiership.
