Jamie Vardy, Conor Coady react as Leicester City ace sends farewell message
Jamie Vardy and Conor Coady have both reacted after a Leicester City player sent an emotional goodbye message following the end of the campaign.
It has of course been a dismal campaign for the Foxes, who have suffered an immediate relegation back to the Championship from the Premier League.
Shortly before the end of the campaign, Vardy confirmed that he was leaving Leicester at the end of this season upon the expiry of his contract, after 13 years with the club.
Meanwhile, another player to have departed the King Power Stadium during the course of the campaign, albeit temporarily, was Hamza Choudhury.

Sheffield United loan ends in heartbreak for Hamza Choudhury
Back in the January transfer window, Choudhury joined Sheffield United on loan from Leicester until the end of the season.
That came after the midfielder had struggled for game time with the Foxes, and he would help the Blades to third place in the Championship standings.
After Sheffield United then thrashed Bristol City in the play-off semi finals, they faced Sunderland in the final at Wembley on Saturday (24 May).
Chris Wilder’s side had taken the lead in that game through Tyrese Campbell, before seeing a second goal by Harrison Burrows ruled out for offside.
Former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA official Keith Hackett deemed that decision to be correct [Mackem News], and it proved costly for the Blades.
Eliezer Mayenda and Tommy Watson both struck late to complete a turnaround for Sunderland, denying Sheffield United promotion back to the Premier League.

Blackburn Rovers (H) | Drew 1-1 |
Bristol City (A) | Won 3-0 |
Bristol City (H) | Won 3-0 |
Sunderland (N) | Lost 2-1 |
That meant Choudhury’s spell with Sheffield United ended in disappointment, and he has taken to Instagram to reflect on that by writing: “Such a painful way to end the season. I’ve struggled to find the right words over the last couple of days.
“I feel like we deserved so much more but it’s not what was written! I want to thank everyone associated with Sheffield United, the Gaffer and his staff, all my team mates and to every single fan for making my time so memorable here! I’ve loved being able to play and represent this special club! UTB”.
In response, Vardy and current Leicester centre-back Coady both showed their support for Choudhury by liking that post.
Leicester City have Hamza Choudhury decision to make
Football Insider Verdict
With his loan spell at Sheffield United now over, Choudhury may find himself facing an uncertain future back at his parent club.
It has been predicted that others will follow Vardy out of Leicester in the wake of relegation, and there may need to be a rebuild as a result.
Given his struggle for game time prior to his loan move, Choudhury could be a candidate to be moved on to facilitate those changes.
However, the drop down into the Championship could also give him more opportunities for game time at the King Power Stadium, as it has done in the past.
Consequently, the situation around Choudhury’s future at Leicester this summer now his loan spell elsewhere is over does look as though it could be an interesting one.
