Jarrad Branthwaite ‘will sign new Everton contract’
Everton are preparing to hold talks over a new contract for Jarrad Branthwaite to deter interest from the likes of Man United.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that he expects the 22-year-old to agree terms before the end of the season.
Real Madrid and Man United have both been heavily linked with a move for the centre-back, and that interest is expected to remain beyond this summer.Jarrad Branthwaite ‘will sign new Everton contract’
As a result, there is a growing feeling that he could continue playing under David Moyes before earning a big-money move away in 2026.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 4 March that Everton want Branthwaite to sign a new deal and are prepared to do everything they can to keep him.
Meanwhile, former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Branthwaite could become Everton’s highest-paid player on £150,000 per week.

Jarrad Branthwaite expected to agree new Everton contract
Brown previously told Football Insider that Branthwaite will spend one more year at Everton to continue his development under the guidance of David Moyes.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that signing a new deal would allow him to prove he is ready for a step up.
“I think the best thing for him would be to stay at Everton,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s still got to prove himself a bit before he can make a move to one of the bigger clubs.
“I think a few teams have been watching him for a while, but playing under Dyche it was a case of defending the box, using his height to head and block everything that came near him.
“That’s good, they’re good assets to have, but it’s not what the top clubs do.
“Under Moyes, he’s getting a bit more time on the ball and being able to use his feet a lot more.
“I think if he keeps playing well in those circumstances, then he could make a move next summer.
“In the meantime, they want him to agree to a new contract and I think he will sign.
“They’re planning to hold talks before the end of the season, he’ll be on a bigger wage and I don’t think the long-term interest in him is going anywhere.
“So for him, he could sign that deal, stay another year and then make a big-money move next year.”

David Moyes plotting shock move to sign Liverpool sensation
Moyes is planning an ambitious summer window at Everton to bolster his squad ahead of their move to the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.
Football Insider revealed on 2 April that Moyes wants to sign Liverpool star Ben Doak as a £30million valuation has been placed on the young winger.
Doak was the subject of bids from Crystal Palace and interest from Bournemouth in January and Everton could now join the race.
This comes after Football Insider revealed that the big-money sale of Doak could help fund Liverpool’s transfer business in the summer window.
