Jarrod Bowen: Major update on West Ham star’s future after David Moyes sack update

West Ham star man Jarrod Bowen is keen to continue playing for David Moyes amid new speculation he could be sacked, sources have told Football Insider.

Moyes’ Irons side slumped to a 6-0 home defeat against Arsenal on Sunday (11 February) – meaning they are now five Premier League games without a win.

Nevertheless, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Bowen, 27, has “big gratitude” for Moyes.

The Scot allowed the forward to shine in the Premier League after recruiting him from Hull City in 2020.

Bowen has since won five England caps and has scored 38 goals in 155 top-flight games, as well as helping the Irons triumph in the Europa Conference League last term.

He penned a new contract at the London Stadium last October, keeping him at West Ham until June 2030.

The forward has hit 14 goals in 30 games this term – playing both on the right flank and as a centre-forward.

A large portion of the West Ham fanbase called for Moyes to be sacked as the 6-0 loss against Arsenal unfolded – while some fans voted with their feet by leaving the London Stadium early.

Despite their poor recent form, the Irons are just one point adrift of a European place after a strong festive period.

The Londoners will also play Europa League knockout stage football from next month after winning their group.

Moyes, who is in his second spell at the London Stadium, is out of contract at the end of the season.
