Jarrod Bowen tipped to replicate one thing Mark Noble did at West Ham after transfer reveal

Jarrod Bowen has been backed to replicate one thing former West Ham United captain Mark Noble did at the club before his retirement.

Bowen joined the East London side from Hull City back at the start of 2020, and has been their talisman over recent years.

The 28-year-old is the club captain after succeeding Kurt Zouma at the beginning of last season.

However, there has been talk about Bowen’s future in recent months, after West Ham’s very poor start to the Premier League campaign.

Jarrod Bowen set for long-term spell at West Ham

Earlier this month, Football Insider revealed that Bowen could be tempted away from West Ham in order to play at the top level.

However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that the winger will now remain with the East London club for the rest of his career, even if there is interest from bigger sides.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Bowen will replicate what former Hammers captain Noble did at West Ham and become a club legend.

Wyness added that the England international is a key element of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I thought about it and I think he’s going to be a for-lifer at West Ham. I think he’s West Ham through and through.

Of course, these days we all know that the chequebook can rule in many ways, but this is someone who I think is going to stay at West Ham.

“I think we’ll see some movement to support the new manager at West Ham; they have to do that, and I think he’ll settle down and things will start to improve for them.

“He’s a key element within them certainly, and I think Nuno could get the whole club firing again. The recent talk to me sounded more like noise coming from Bowen’s agent, if there’s to be any renegotiation of his contract.

“But I don’t see him going, I really don’t. He’s one of those who will be at West Ham for life.”

West Ham would demand ‘monster’ offer to sell Bowen

Due to the length of his current contract, it would need a monster offer for West Ham to consider selling Bowen.

The attacker is set to stay at the London Stadium until 2030 under his current deal, meaning that the Hammers have the ability to price interested sides out of a move.

Sources say the forward is happy with the Hammers and has no plans to leave, as he aims to help the club turn around their recent fortunes.

West Ham are currently 19th in the Premier League and desperate to pull themselves away from the relegation zone.
