Jason Cundy: Tottenham 23-year-old is twice the player of his PL counterpart
By Derek Smithson
Jason Cundy believes that Tottenham forward Harry Kane is twice the player Everton ace Romelu Lukaku is.
The pair are regarded as two of the best strikers in the Premier League and were in direct completion for the golden boot award last season.
Spurs ace Kane, 23, won the award for his 29 league goals and he ended up with 35 goals across all competitions last season.
Meanwhile, Belgium international Lukaku struck 26 goals across all competitions last year, with all but one of them coming in the top flight.
The 24-year-old could be set to leave Goodison Park in the summer and is subject to interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

Cundy is confident that there is still a huge gulf in class between the pair and even went as far to say that he would prefer to buy Kane over Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo right now.
“If you are giving me the option to buy either one of those players, I’d take Kane every single day of the week over Lukaku,” Cundy told talkSPORT. “I would rather Harry Kane over Cristiano Ronaldo too.
“Harry Kane is twice the player Lukaku is – based on my eyes, based on my knowledge, based on what I see. Harry Kane is a better player, he can hold the ball up with his back to goal and Lukaku can’t.”
Kane and Lukaku have both proven themselves in the English top flight during recent season, challenging the likes of Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa to be the top striker.
However, it is the Spurs ace that has pulled away from the pack recently and is a crucial member of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
He managed to striker 30-plus goal last year despite a couple of issues with injury and is even being tipped to break Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260 goals.
