Rangers midfielder Jason Holt believes that January signings Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman are bringing a lot of quality to the team.
Holt lined up alongside the two signings in the central midfield positions on Saturday as the Gers drew 1-1 at home to Ross County.
Mark Warburton’s side are now level on points with second-placed Aberdeen, but have a much inferior goal difference and have also played a game more.
They look set to face a tough battle to overtake Aberdeen, but Warburton did bring in two loan signings in January to bolster options in his squad.
Holt feels that Toral and Hyndman are beginning to show their qualities for the side following their move to Ibrox and have impressed him so far.
“You have seen in the games they (Toral and Hyndman) have played that they are really good players, and what they can bring to the team is great,” Holt said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Toral joined the Gers until then end of the season from Premier League giants Arsenal and has made four appearances so far.
The 22-year-old grabbed an assist for the goal against Ross County and looks set for an extended run in the starting XI.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Hyndman already has two goals in his first four appearances for Warburton’s side and the central midfielder has done well since joining on loan from Bournemouth in January.
Rangers are now stacked with several midfield options to choose from, with Andy Halliday and Josh Windass patiently waiting for their opportunity to impress again.
However, the club’s midfield signings appear to have settled well at Ibrox and will be desperate to retain their places in the starting line-up.
