Jean-Clair Todibo reacts to Max Kilman amid ‘West Ham squad overhaul’ news
Max Kilman caught the attention of his West Ham teammates as Graham Potter plans for the summer transfer window in East London.
The Hammers have struggled under two separate managers during the 2024/25 campaign – Julen Lopetegui and Potter – with the club currently sitting 15th in the Premier League table.
Form has been poor enough for West Ham supporters to be calling for Potter’s sacking after just four months at the London Stadium, but it appears that he will be in charge for the summer transfer window.
Football Insider understands that West Ham are preparing for another massive squad overhaul, with several first-team stars expected to be sold before making multiple additions.
However, with two matches of the Premier League campaign still remaining, the Hammers will be keen to finish the campaign on a high note after beating Man United 2-0 on Sunday, 11 May.
Max Kilman remains positive after difficult West Ham season
Taking to Instagram (12 May), Kilman wrote: “Perfect away day,” sharing images of the Hammers’ celebrations at Old Trafford after finally breaking a rotten winless streak of eight matches.
Fulham’s Raul Jimenez and Wolves’ Matt Doherty were joined by West Ham stars Jean-Clair Todibo, Ollie Scarles, Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Emerson Palmieri in liking the post.
Graham Potter to shift deadweight at the London Stadium
Football Insider verdict
Understandably, the Irons are frustrated with how their team has performed for the majority of the campaign, especially when displays against Man United are clearly possible.
While many are already wanting to give up on the former Brighton and Chelsea figure, David Sullivan would be foolish to search for yet another manager and keep the revolving door spinning.
It could get much harder next season, though, with fears that Jarrod Bowen could leave West Ham during the summer, and Mohammed Kudus is also expected to seek a new club.
Manager | Games | Won | Drawn | Lost | Win % |
Graham Potter | 17 | 4 | 5 | 8 | 23.5 |
Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell, Danny Ings, and Vladimir Coufal‘s exits as free agents have already been confirmed, but supporters are expecting a lot more movement within the squad.
Edson Alvarez and Guido Rodriguez are nowhere near good enough to command the midfield, and the defence has been somewhat of a worry in the Premier League.
Potter has plenty of work to do before now and the start of next season, but after the work he has done with Brighton and Chelsea, he should have enough experience to pull through in East London.
