Jeremie Frimpong injury timeline revealed as Arne Slot handed ‘significant blow’
Arne Slot’s problems have deepened after learning how long defender Jeremie Frimpong is set to miss on the sidelines.
Frimpong was forced off against Eintracht Frankfurt with a hamstring injury, meaning he has missed the Reds’ last two matches.
Number one goalkeeper Allisson is also injured for Liverpool, whilst the likes of Alexander Isak and Ryan Gravenberch have been dealing with issues.
Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup made it six defeats in seven for Slot in all competitions, with the Dutchman electing to start a youthful XI against the Eagles to rest players.
Frimpong set to miss six weeks
As per the Daily Mail, [30 October], it has been revealed that Frimpong will miss six weeks of action.
“Jeremie Frimpong is facing around six weeks on the sidelines, sources have told Liverpool Confidential, in another significant blow to the out-of-form Premier League champions,” the Daily Mail reported.
“The Dutch full back has had a tough start to life back in England after his move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, with Frimpong already missing several early-season games with a hamstring injury.“
Frimpong could miss up to nine fixtures as he recovers from injury, handing Slot a problem in the position.

Calvin Ramsey could deputise in Frimpong absence
Conor Bradley has been deputising in the Premier League for Frimpong, but Calvin Ramsey shined for Liverpool against Crystal Palace.
Ramsey was making his first appearance for the club since 2023, and the 22-year-old took the opportunity presented to him by Slot in one of few positives from the contest.
With Bradley yet to seize his chance, there may be further opportunities for Ramsey to impress Slot.
