Jeremie Frimpong, Jesse Lingard react to Ramazani’s ‘never settling’ Leeds post
Largie Ramazani took to social media with a new message for the Leeds United fans following a frustrating season for his development.
Despite notching seven goals and two assists in his first season at Elland Road, having arrived from Almeria last summer, he was forced to settle for a spot on the bench more often than not.
Of his 31 appearances, only nine of them came in the starting lineup, with Daniel Farke openly admitting that he expected more from the 24-year-old as the Whites lifted the Championship title.
The winger certainly made a splash during the 4-0 win over Bristol City on Monday, 28 April, coming on for the final 10 minutes and scoring a brace at Elland Road, but it was not enough to keep him off the bench.
Although he was snubbed for the XI yet again by Farke, who has been backed by Paraag Marathe as Leeds manager, Ramazani joined in the celebrations alongside his teammates, with Premier League football secured.

Taking to Instagram (4 May), Ramazani wrote: “You don’t become a champion by crossing one finish line. You do it by never settling!”
Teammates Patrick Bamford, Junior Firpo, Joe Rodon, and Pascal Struijk all liked the post, as did Jesse Lingard, now of FC Seoul in South Korea, and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.
Daniel Farke faces tough challenge in the Premier League
Football Insider verdict
Despite reaching 100 points in the Championship this season, concerns have been raised over Farke continuing as Leeds manager in the Premier League due to his past experiences in the top tier.
Marathe, however, has openly backed the German to lead the Whites into the 2025/26 campaign, but the owners need to show their support rather than just say it.
Championship standings | Goal difference | Points |
1. Leeds United | +65 | 100 |
2. Burnley | +53 | 100 |
Leeds will need to invest heavily during the summer transfer window if they want to survive the relegation battle, but with £200million being spent on Elland Road’s redevelopment, that might be difficult.
Bargain deals will be important with the sheer number of additions that need to be made, and given the club’s recent successes with cheap transfers, it should not be a worry this summer.
49ers Enterprises have a tough summer ahead of them, but with surviving relegation as the club’s target next season, the owners must do everything to give Farke the best chance of keeping Leeds up.
