Joachim Andersen makes up mind on Fulham move after offer – sources

Fulham top target Joachim Andersen is content at Crystal Palace amid speculation over his future, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (12 August) that the Cottagers have launched a £20million swoop to bring the 28-year-old back to the club – but will not be successful at that price.

Additionally, Palace are unwilling to sell Andersen with Marc Guehi a big-money target for Newcastle.

The Denmark international could be next in line for the captaincy after filling in for Guehi in the latter stages of the 2023-24 campaign.

Sources say Andersen is happy to remain at Palace and wait for a bigger club to come in for him if his impressive performances continue.

He spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Fulham, but he is not currently considering a return to Craven Cottage.

Andersen content at Crystal Palace amid Fulham interest

Andersen started in all 38 Premier League games in the 2023-24 campaign and only failed to complete 90 minutes on one occasion.

He was an integral part of Roy Hodgson and Oliver Glasner’s teams as Palace finished 10th in the Premier League.

Andersen joined the Croydon outfit for a reported fee of more than £17million three years ago and is under contract until June 2026.

He has made 112 appearances for the Eagles in that time.
