Joao Felix and Murillo react to Kyle Walker message after deal agreed

Chelsea forward Joao Felix and Burnley defender Maxime Esteve were among the players reacting to the latest update on Kyle Walker’s future.

The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan following a falling out with Pep Guardiola.

Walker left Man City under controversial circumstances during the winter window, at a time when City were struggling with injuries and squad depth.

Despite featuring regularly for Milan, the Italian giants opted against making his move permanent following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as manager, leaving Walker in search of a new club this summer.

Everton fans had been pushing for their club to sign Walker, especially after reports that David Moyes had identified the experienced full-back as a potential signing.

However, fresh developments suggest that Walker is now likely to join another Premier League side, earning plenty of reactions.

Kyle Walker agrees to join Burnley as Man City fee revealed

Fabrizio Romano revealed on social media platforms that Burnley have agreed a deal to sign Walker from Manchester City.

The experienced defender is set to join the newly-promoted side, with the agreement structured around performance-based clauses. If Burnley avoid relegation and Walker features in at least 70% of their matches, they will pay City a £5 million fee.

The news sparked reaction on social media, with former teammate Felix, Nottingham Forest’s Murillo and Walker’s new potential teammate Esteve among those engaging with the announcement.

Alongside Everton, Fulham and Turkish giants Fenerbahce both registered interest in Walker, but it seems as if his former teammate Scott Parker and his side have beaten competition for the signing.

Burnley set £50million valuation for Maxime Esteve amid Premier League interest

While Esteve showed his support for Walker’s potential arrival online, doubts remain over his own future at Turf Moor.

Football Insider revealed that Burnley have placed a £50 million price tag on Esteve, in an effort to deter interest from Premier League and European clubs.

Crystal Palace and Everton have both been monitoring Esteve, while Bayern Munich have also registered their interest in Esteve.

Former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is believed to be pushing for a reunion, with the centre-back making 16 appearances under the Belgian during his time in charge.

Meanwhile, with Marc Guehi expected to leave Crystal Palace this summer, it remains to be seen whether the Eagles will step up their pursuit of Esteve in the coming weeks.
