Joao Felix, Bruno Fernandes react to heartfelt message from Chelsea ace Pedro Neto
Joao Felix and Man United star Bruno Fernandes reacted to a heartfelt message from Chelsea winger Pedro Neto on social media.
The 25-year-old joined from Wolves for £54million [BBC Sport] in the summer, and whilst the Blues enjoyed a successful season, the winger’s performances were inconsistent at times.
The Blues secured their return to the Champions League after a three-year absence and won the Conference League title with a 4-1 win over Real Betis.
However, Chelsea fans grew frustrated with Neto’s performances earlier in the season and whilst his tally of six goals plus eight assists was an important contribution, many will be expecting more from the winger next season.
Nevertheless, with club football on pause until the Club World Cup begins, the ex-Lazio winger has played his part in securing a second piece of silverware this season.

Pedro Neto celebrates Nations League triumph with Portugal
Portugal’s penalty shootout victory over Spain, following a 2-2 draw, saw them claim their second Nations League trophy after winning the tournament in 2019.
Neto assisted Nuno Mendes’ 26th-minute goal and played 105 minutes for his country, before being replaced by Liverpool’s exit-linked star Diogo Jota.
Following the triumph, the Chelsea winger shared several images on Instagram, captioned: “What a feeling. It’s an honour to be able to represent this country”.
The post was then liked by fellow Portuguese stars Felix and Fernandes, showing their support for Neto.
Pedro Neto faces stiff test to keep starting place at Chelsea next season
Football Insider Verdict
Having started 24 games in the Premier League and a further five in the Conference League, Neto will be looking to build on a solid start to life in West London.
But the winger will face a tough task retaining his place in Enzo Maresca‘s starting line-up next season.
The Brazilian wonderkid Estevao has completed his long-awaited move from Palmeiras this summer, and despite being just 18 years old, will likely be given opportunities in the starting XI next season.
What’s more, Mick Brown exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Chelsea have jumped to the front of the queue in the race for Jamie Gittens.
Should the Blues secure the Borussia Dortmund winger’s signing, Neto will have plenty of competition for places next season.
