Joe Gomez could give Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp ‘problem’ after pictures emerge – pundit
Joe Gomez will give Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp “a problem” if he starts pre-season well, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Spurs and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Gomez, 25, “has the ability” to win back his place in the Reds starting XI.
The centre-half was a bit-part player for Liverpool in the 2021-22 campaign.

Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip were ahead of Gomez in the pecking order at Anfield.
On Monday (4 July), Gomez was pictured at Liverpool’s Kirkby for the first day of pre-season.
Robinson suggested the next few weeks will be pivotal for the England defender.
“Joe Gomez has the ability to win his place back in this Liverpool team,” he told Football Insider.
“He will have a full pre-season under his belt which will help.
“Jurgen Klopp wants to keep him, there’s no doubt about that. I’m sure he will get a lot of game time this year.
“Gomez has the ability to start week in, week out. We have seen him in the England squad. It will not take him much to get back to his peak.
“It is a big season for him this year. Come the end of the season, if he has not had a lot of game time he will have to re-evaluate where he is. He will want to play first-team football if he is not getting it at Liverpool.
“If he is fit and starts the season well he will give the manager a problem. He is good enough to stay in that team.”
