Joe Hart told to ‘move on’ from Celtic after what expert has spotted
Frank McAvennie has suggested it may be time for Joe Hart to “move on” from Celtic.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Hoops striker would be happy for Hart to stay as long as he was able to play every game next season.
The 36-year-old joined the Celts in 2021 on a three-year deal and has been number one choice ever since.
Since his arrival in Glasgow, Hart has made 103 appearances for the Hoops, conceding 94 goals and keeping 46 clean sheets.
Ange Postecoglou also has 2022 arrival Benjamin Siegrist, long-serving stopper Scott Bain and Conor Hazard as other options between the sticks with Hazard’s contract set to expire at the end of the month.
Siegrist joined Parkhead last June but has made just two appearances, both of which came in the League Cup that the Hoops would go on to win.
Bain has reportedly signed a three-year contract extension in Glasgow.
When asked if a new goalkeeper will be on Celtic’s transfer list this summer, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I had high hopes for Siegrist because he is not a bad player.
“Unfortunately he has been injured a lot of the time so I do not know what the situation is.

“I think they have got to bring in someone else next year.
“Joe Hart has had a great couple of years at Celtic, he has won things, but you have got to move on I think. I am quite happy with Joe if he can play every game.“
