Leeds United captain has a big season coming up
Football Insider Verdict
Everyone connected with the club will be relieved that Ampadu has come through that parade in one piece given the extent of his celebrations.
There is a belief at Leeds that Ampadu is one of the players who can step up to the Premier League next season and cope with the demands of top-flight football.
Combined with his captaincy role he will be key to Daniel Farke‘s side next season, where they will be desperate to at least stay up, so they would not want to lose him to a freak injury or mishap here.
Even so, you can’t blame Ampadu and his Leeds teammates for celebrating for now, given all the hard work and frustration they have had to deal with to accomplish this major achievement.
