Joe Rodon to complete permanent Tottenham move – expert

Leeds United loanee Joe Rodon will not be integrated back into the Tottenham team and will leave permanently this summer.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham, Leeds and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson claimed the 26-year-old has no future at the North London club.

The central defender is currently on a season-long loan at Leeds United, where he has made 46 appearances in all competitions.

The Whites are pushing for automatic promotion under Daniel Farke, currently sitting third in the Championship table.

Rodon has been key to the Elland Road club’s fine season under the German, with Leeds close to securing a Premier League return.

But his long-term future remains up in the air, with the defender having previously been loaned out to Rennes during his Spurs career.

A permanent Leeds move is, however, on the cards, with sources telling Football Insider on Friday (3 May) that the Whites have that option if they clinch promotion to the top flight this season.

Regardless of what the Championship club decides, Robinson, who is well connected at both of his former clubs, has been told that Rodon does not have a place in Ange Postecoglou’s side going forward.

Leeds

“Joe Rodon… regardless of whether he stays at Leeds or goes elsewhere, he won’t be integrated back into the Spurs side, and will move this summer on a permanent deal, it’s 100% from what I know,” he told the Inside Track podcast.
